Dr. Vincent Mayher has maintained a family practice of general dentistry in Haddonfield, New Jersey, since 1985. He is also a Clinical Associate in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.Dr. Mayher graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. in biology in 1974, and received his DMD from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in 1978. Prior to private practice, he served as a dental officer in the US Navy Dental Corps in Norfolk, Virginia.
A lifelong member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Mayher attained the coveted Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2002, and is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. He was voted One of South Jersey’s Best Dentists by SJ Magazine in 2016.
Dr. Mayher was the 2007-2008 national President of the Academy of General Dentistry, an organization of over 35,000 dentists, most noted for providing quality continuing education for dentists.
Additional professional endeavors include service as President of the Southern Dental Society of New Jersey and President of the New Jersey Academy of General Dentistry. He was a member of the New York City Dental ID Team following the September 11 attacks. Dr. Mayher co-chaired the Academy of General Dentistry’s National Outreach project in June 2012, where 325 patients in West Philadelphia received pro bono dental services at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
A Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, Dr. Mayher served his community as the 2009-2010 President of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield, NJ, and as a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight East. He has been a lector at Saint John Neumann RC Parish in Mount Laurel for 33 years.
Dr. Mayher and his wife, Elaine, reside in Mt. Laurel, NJ. They have 3 daughters, Lauren, Kristin, and Megan. He is grateful to his family of friends and patients from Haddonfield and surrounding communities, and looks forward to many more years of service.
Dr. Jessica Meier grew up in Bergen County, NJ, and completed her undergraduate work at Barnard College, Columbia University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. After college, Dr. Meier worked in research for Dr. Richard Axel, who won the Nobel Prize in 2006 in Physiology Medicine. During this time, she also pursued volunteer efforts at dental clinics in under-served communities of New York City. She then went on to receive her dental degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.Dr. Meier actively enrolls in continuing education courses to ensure that she is up to date with the latest advancements in all aspects of dentistry. She is also very active in the community and donates services for children and adults in underprivileged communities. She is an active member in the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Meier’s hobbies include traveling, spending time with loved ones, and cooking. She has an identical twin sister, Kristen, studying to be an orthopedic surgeon at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and a brother, Eric, teaching English in Harlem, NYC. She is supported by wonderful staff, friends, and family.
Dr. Meier is extremely excited about joining Dr. Vincent Mayher’s family practice of general dentistry in historic Haddonfield, NJ. She is also looking forward to meeting all the wonderful patients!
Dr. Salvatore Pera attended St. Joe’s Prep and Villanova University, where he received his B.S. in chemistry. He graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1992. Upon graduation, he immediately went into private practice and complements his practice as adjunct clinical professor in the Restorative Department at the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. Dr. Pera also obtained his certificate of completion in Implant Surgery and Restoration at New York University (NYU) in 2002.Dr. Pera currently resides in Haddonfield, NJ, where he has been a resident for over 17 years. He is married to Lisa Fulginiti Pera and has three children, Louis, Maria and Albert. Dr. Pera enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, and playing the piano.
